United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County’s (UCP-OC) held their 2012 Autumn Golf Classic & The Brianna Cup on October 22 at the Santa Ana Country Club. The Life Without Limits Golf Tournament was a great fundraising success with net proceeds over $130,000. Three-time tournament champions were the team from Voit Real Estate Services/Pekarcik & Vittone including Daniel Vittone, Mike Skochinski, Chris Zamora and Joel Griffith. Sporting traditional Scottish kilts, the team members shot a collective score of 56.
Founding sponsor DLD Insurance Brokers Inc./CEO Dana Dowers started this tournament nearly 20 years ago with Chris Dubia. Scott Pievac, CEO of SPC Retail Display Group, later combined his golf fundraiser The Brianna Cup that honors his daughter.
United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County CEO Cathleen Collins said, “Scott and Dana’s leadership and commitment to children with disabilities contribute significantly to the growth of our organization in very challenging economic times. We are very pleased with the proceeds from the Autumn Golf Classic and it serves as an enjoyable way for new and long-time supporters to get involved!”
UCP-OC kids Brianna Pievac and Reo Kobayashi made a special appeal at the awards dinner when over 100 guests were captivated as Brianna spoke through her iPad sharing a message of living a Life Without Limits.
