In honor of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County’s partnership with Frette on its 2012 Philharmonic House of Design (the 20th anniversary of the House of Design), Frette and the Philharmonic Society co-hosted a festive evening of champagne and hors d’oeuvres in conjunction with Fashion’s Night Out at Frette’s South Coast Plaza boutique. A portion of the evening’s proceeds went to benefit the Philharmonic Society and its nationally recognized Youth Music Education Programs.
The crowd of elegantly-dressed guests was warmly welcomed into the boutique with greetings from Richard Iri, store manager of Frette South Coast Plaza, and a blend of contemporary and classical music pieces performed live on guitars and mandolin. Guests were treated to flutes of tray-passed champagne and hors d’oeuvres catered by Quattro Caffe. Attendees perused elegant showcases of Frette’s luxury linen collections and fine quality products, many admiring the exquisite patterns of duvets and bedspreads and soft textures of robes and scarves.
The Philharmonic House of Design is the key fundraising effort each year for the Philharmonic Society Youth Music Education Programs, and is organized each year by the Committees of the Philharmonic. The Philharmonic Society again partnered with California Homes Magazine to present the 2012 Philharmonic House of Design, which marked the 20th annual Philharmonic House of Design.
Located amidst 40 acres of coastal hills, the 2012 Philharmonic House of Design was an extraordinary 11,000 sq. ft. estate showcasing panoramic ocean, canyon and city light views from every direction. Contemporary in design, with a hint of craftsman, the house blended effortlessly into its natural setting. Approaching the house from a private road, visitors encountered a helipad surrounded by a circular driveway and multiple garages. The infinity pool and numerous terraces surrounding the perimeter created an oasis of privacy. This year’s House also provided an opportunity to celebrate the renowned artists of Laguna Beach. The 2012 Philharmonic House of Design was generously sponsored by South Coast Plaza and Frette, and proceeds from the House benefitted the Philharmonic Society Youth Music Education Programs.
An ingenious collaboration of music and design, the 2012 Philharmonic House of Design was transformed into a stunning retreat by a roster of carefully selected interior designers from Los Angeles and Orange County, including Joshua Cain (Saxony Design Build), Stephanie Cook & Stephanie Avila (Plural Interior Design), Deirdre Eagles (Deirdre Eagles Interior Design), Robert Esterley (Esterley Designs), Helen Freeborn (The Healing Sanctuary), Rona Graf & Stephanie Fryer (Grace Blu Designs), Sean Hashemian (Casa Siena Design), Chris Kittrell (Kittrell & Associates), Kate McNeil (Between the Sheets), Shala Shamardi (Haute Designs Studio), and Hall Swanson & Dan Ollis (Swanson/Ollis Design).
