Talk about action! Locale Magazine ACTION! Issue 2nd Annual Release Party was a hit. Friday night, more than 300 people from all over Orange County sampled food from sponsors Daphne’s Greek Café and Crow Burger Kitchen and sipped drinks from sponsor Tres Sietes Tequila. Held at Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport Beach, the event was sponsored by Brabus, Diabolo, One Hope Wine, Code4 Media Group, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Traditional Jewelers. To top off the night, a runway fashion show (sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue) featured some of today’s top styles.
Locale’s editor, Erik Hale, is the visionary behind the magazine. He created Locale in 2010 with the goal of giving the community of OC a premiere lifestyle publication.
“This 2nd annual launch event is for our readers – a chance for us to give thanks for all of their support,” said Hale. “We selected OM Foundation as our charity of choice due to its amazing work serving children with disabilities. We are honored to help raise money for such a worthy cause.”
The OM Foundation (OMF) was launched by Bonner Paddock with the idea that any one person can make a difference if they dedicate themselves to look beyond their own personal limits to achieve their goals. As an adult with cerebral palsy, Paddock became the first person with this disability to reach the summit of the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro, unassisted, to demonstrate that life without limits is possible.
The event raised more than $7,000 for OMF – Life Without Limits Therapy Center, which is based in Irvine.
